Miglieglia,is a typical mountain village of the canton of Ticino and is the starting point of the cable car to Monte Lema.
Miglieglia, with an area of 5.13 square kilometers and 269 inhabitants (at the end of December 2011), is an attractive village for walkers and tourists who want to discover the history and architecture of the old part of Ticino. The village is mainly known because of its Romanesque church, extended during the Gothic period. The main source of income in Miglieglia is agriculture. From Miglieglia you can reach Monte Lema (1624m) by cable car. In addition to offering an incredible panoramic view from Monte Lema you can also access different hiking trails.
